Well... first a little about me: I have been creating face-to-face and exhibit environments for over ten years and working in the design industry for over fifteen years. In addition to a core competency in exhibit design, I also have extensive experience in print design, web site design, corporate video production and animation. My list of clients ranges from the smallest 'mom and pop shops' to some of the biggest corporations in the world. I am more than a “top view, big-picture” designer. Regardless of client size or industry, I have a knack for bringing innovative and client-responsive solutions to a broad range of applications. In December of 2006, I was added as a Featured Artist to the Strata website. You can read an interview with me and see some of my images as well on this page. I have designed and produced the opening title sequence and end credits for the award winning movie "Red Passport" and have been a contributing author for 3-D Computer Graphic books and have had a short animated film presented in the world-renowned SIGGRAPH computer animation festival. I have a BFA from the State University of NY and currently reside in NYC. In my spare time I am an amateur photographer. You can view many of my photos at my Flickr page as well as in the gallery section. I have been shooting HDR images quite a bit and find that I am very fond of the technique and the flexibitlity it gives me as a photographer. I am also always experimenting and testing new computer software, from games to the latest in 3d modeling and rendering. As an avid film lover, I enjoy all types of movies - as well as the 'behind the scenes' production and creative process of film. And some general info about this site: Many people have asked me about the name of the site. Without reading into it too much; in this digital day and age, most of the work is either 2d or 3d in nature. That being said everything will be composed of either pixels (2d) or polygons (3d) - hence the name of the site. This does not dismiss the overwhelming power of the design and creative process. Wich we all know can (and does) take any form it wishes. If you have any specific questions for me please feel free to drop me an email. I hope you enjoy your visit to the site. --Jeff Gugick |
